 The news came as a bit of a shock to fans as the actress had not previously mentioned she was expecting.

Billie Lourd on Thursday revealed that she had welcomed a baby boy.

The actress and daughter of Carrie Fisher made the announcement on Instagram with a picture of the tiny guy's feet, writing, "Introducing Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell."

The child's name seems to be a tribute to Lourd's late mother.

The news came as a bit of a shock to fans as Lourd had not previously mentioned she was expecting. Lourd is engaged to Austen Rydell.

Mark Hamill was among those who congratulated the couple, writing on Twitter, "Congratulations to #BillieLourd & #AustenRydell on the arrival of their firstborn child: Kingston Fisher Lord Rydell!!! I can't think of another baby with both "KING" AND "LORD" in their name. Nice."

The actress has numerous film credits to her name, including a number of Star Wars films in which she appeared with her late mother.

Fisher died Dec. 27, 2016. She was 60. Fisher's mother, Debbie Reynolds, died from a stroke the next day, at the age of 84. Lourd often honors her mother and grandmother via heartfelt social media posts.
